About Tracktion Canada Inc.

Like many great products, the Tracktion sole was originally designed out of personal necessity. The Tracktion Sole was developped by Sid Kastner, former Canadian swimming champion and, more recently, a world class triathlete. Over last 10 years, Kastner has won gold, silver, and bronze medals in ITU short and long course championships and at age 58, completed the IRONMAN in Hawaii in under 12 hours. To accomplish these feats, Kastner had to train at full capacity months a year, without injury in the snow and icy Canadian winter.

With 25 years of experience as the owner of an industrial rubber products manufacturing company, Kastner was in the unique position to apply his accumulated business experience to a personal problem. He began researching way to run on ice, snow and on difficult traisl in adverse conditions. He came up with a prototype and during product trials much interest arose from runners and manufacturers alike. He decided to take his idea to the market. After years of product refinement through rigorous testing and consultation with industry experts, the result was the patented Tracktion Sole, the worlds best non slip outsole. Current licensees include Lacrosse Footwear Inc. in North America, and Icebug based in Sweden. These two companies have worldwide scope and are highly respected players in their industry.
